building a nest up in the air

”Air” by Ysabel LeMay
I'm hopelessly infatuated with this artwork by Québécoise
visual artist Ysabel LeMay, a poetical flying nest carefully
built by a couple of birds with a rosy bustier and colored
twigs and branches collected with countless flights to and fro.
Ysabel is an all-around artist who previously worked in
advertising, turned her attention to fine arts studying
painting at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design
before devoting herself to photography developing
her own ”photo-fusion” approach to art.
She lives and works in Naples, no, not the buzzing Italian
city, yet the resort city in southwestern Florida on the Gulf
of Mexico, where she can peacefully concentrate on her
inventive technique, actually a lengthy process in which
she, like the pair of birds, takes hundreds of photographs
attuning light and visual properties to assemble one detail
at a time in a charming painterly fashion.
She really made my day!
