our Indian summer

I've been touring around in the last few days with
a couple of beloved friends from the Middle East
visiting Italy for the very first time at the tail of what
has been hailed as the hottest summer of the last
150 years that's still going strong across autumn.

Bright, dry warm sunny days delighted by fun and
good fellowship amid the countless beauties of our
old, troubled country where, despite a wishy-washy
governance, credit rating agencies downgrades
and worries on the increase, beauty's still widely
encountered to our heart's content.

I'm glad to share with you some of the images
I took while jaunting through the historic cities
of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Venice.
Enjoy the Italian Indian summer!
