Jean Paul s'amuse

Yesterday's Jean Paul Gaultier's summer show in Paris
assumed the old-fashioned spirit of couture presentations
during the 50's with no music, only French and
English narration by a speaker while models
carried cards with their look numbers.

The open backstage and the live photo shooting
of next adv campaign by photographer Miles Aldridge
marked the legendary French designer's mirth in
revisiting his mainspring themes - prinstripe suiting,
silk trench coats, asymmetrical white shirts and
masculine shapes together with mariniéres,
lingerie details and blue tattoo designs.

JPG's definitely one of the finest couturiers and a real
entertainer whose idea of fun is made of clairvoyance
and expertise, a prime mover whose work
I'll never be sick of!
