offbeat look at the whistle stop

Again from Down Under with RAFW's runway shows
of spring-summer 2011-12 collections which are
fuss-free and charmingly merry such as the
latest Marnie Skillings' one.

The Sydney-based designer debuted her eponymus
ready-to-wear label in 2000 showing her whimsical
attitude in integrating sophisticated and straightforward
elements with a distinctive sense of fun.

Marnie's glamorous new collection reveals
a quaint summery look made of florals and
subdued animal print with a free-spirited
yet graceful mood accessorized with stacked
bangles and socks, half the way between
”Lady Sings the Blues” and ”Fried Green
Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafè”.

I simply adore the toned down, dainty animal
print paired with detailed floral patterns and
gripping feathered cardigans as well the
whole collection's offbeat taste: exactly the
feminine, joyfully elegant style
Marnie became known for.

  1. Dearest Elisabetta,

Very daring to combine animal and flower print!
If you like to see something futuristic, have a look at my video about Glass. Incredible future is awaiting us!

    Lots of love,
