Italy will celebrate tomorrow the hardly achieved unification
and independence of 1861 recalling the 'Risorgimento'
literally 'resurrection', that drove the Austrians out
of the north while Garibaldi won over the south.

The whole country proudly celebrates 150 years of
freedom and creativity but not without casting a sympathetic
glance to all the people around the world who are still
striving for independence and self-determination.
