Burberry's livecast catwalk report

Today over 140 countries were simultaneously catching the
latest looks from Burberry Prorsum's live runway show
at London's Fashion Week: such a smart way to
see the whole fall-winter 2011-12 collection
which has so many references to the 70s
from my home two thousands miles away.

Amazing drop waisted duffle and trench coats in checkered
wool with draped or folded panels, raised seams sculptural
coats, short waisted jackets with bell sleeves, an extraordinary
micro quilted cape coat as well interesting fur embellishments
and striking black & white outfits.

Burberry's has quite a young and sophsticated look for
everyday winterwear with perfect tailoring details and
rich materials (too many furs for my liking, though)
the stirring catwalk collection is available online
for buyers for a week right from the end of the show.

  2. Dearest Elisabetta,

Under 'my home' that is the best green outfit. Also the short green jacket the mannequin with her back towards us, is a cute design. It does give with the epaulettes the best proportion and fit. Indeed too much fur for me as well.

Lots of love from one who owns a lot of Burberry garments...
