leaves of grass

Anything but conventional, quite a bit surreal especially in
her photos bearing the nostalgic feeling of her own childhood
in which toys, soap bubbles, umbrellas and fluorescent
wigs play a joyful role, instead I simply adore Sun-Mi Ahn's
double exposure green self portraits.

The young Korean, Paris-based photographer, is increasingly
becoming a well known name in the visual arts world thanks
to her poetic aesthetics, a self made universe between
dream and reality in which she skillfully reinvents
self portraiture with true inventiveness.
A real invitation toward a puzzling, oneiric universe.
After a long busy day nothing's better to soothe the tiredness.
Sweet dreams everybody!

”Every portrait that is painted with feeling
is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.”
Oscar Wilde
